THE WURZELS COME TO TOWN Oo ar! Oo ar!

On Sunday 2nd August 2009 Ilfracombe Pier will host the annual South West Birdman competition which involves lots of crazy people or so called 'would-be aviators' flinging themselves over the pier to see who can 'fly' the furthest or at least plummet hilariously into the waiting sea.

  We are pleased to welcome Taw & Torridge Classic Bike Club to BIRDMAN 2009

The Taw & Torridge Classic Bike Club is a group of motorcyclists whose pastime is the Owning and riding of Classic Motorcycles. The Club caters for all makes of bikes be they British or Foreign, from show bikes to rusty runabouts. They consider any bike over the age of 25 to be a classic bike.

The Club has a full social calendar, whether it is club meetings or organised runs. For the preservationist there are many shows and rallies to attend where the club put on displays and win the odd award (including Best Stand in the 2006 Bike Show and 3rd at the 2007 Bristol and West Show, both events were held at Shepton Mallet showground). >The Club has its own newsletter full of information tips and diary dates. So whether it’s showing, riding or socialising the Club has something to offer everyone. Including an annual skittles tournament against a Classic Car Club.

The Club meets at the Lenwood Country Club Bideford on the last Friday of each month at 7.30pm.
